Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner CBE (born 2 October 1951), known as Sting, is an English musician, activist and actor. He was the frontman, principal songwriter and bassist for new wave band the Police from 1977 until their breakup in 1986.

He launched a solo career in 1985 and has included elements of rock, jazz, reggae, classical, new-age, and worldbeat in his music.

This is his third solo album.

_{The Soul Cages is the third full-length studio album released by Sting. Released on the 21st of January 1991 it became Sting’s second No. 1 album in the United Kingdom. This was Sting’s first album to feature guitarist Dominic Miller, who would become a regular collaborator.
It spawned four singles: “All This Time,” “Mad About You,” “The Soul Cages”, and “Why Should I Cry for You?”}

_{Doubt is the second album by British rock band Jesus Jones, released on 21 January 1991 through Food Records. The label witnessed the success of their debut album Liquidizer (1989) and wanted more hit-sounding music from the band. Frontman Mike Edwards wrote new material on their tour bus and in hotel rooms; they recorded some of it in early 1990, before touring resumed. After the conclusion of a tour of the United Kingdom, the band spent a week in May 1990 recording the rest of the album at Matrix Studios in London.}

_{Innuendo is the fourteenth studio album by the British rock band Queen and was the band’s last album (of original material) to be released in lead singer Freddie Mercury’s lifetime. It stayed at the No. 1 spot on the UK album charts for two weeks. The album was recorded between March 1989 and November 1990. In the spring of 1987, Mercury was diagnosed with AIDS, although he kept his illness a secret from the public and denied numerous media reports that he was seriously ill. The band and producers were aiming for a November or December release date in order to catch the crucial Christmas market. Still, Mercury’s declining health meant that the album’s release did not occur until February 1991. Stylistically, Innuendo is a return to Queen’s roots, with its harder rock sound, and complex musical composition.}
