1991
I recently completed a series of album diaries based on the year 1979. I say recently, it was in fact, over a year ago, at the end of 2023.
Now, I jump forward 12 years to 1991 and attempt to do something similar.
This time I was aiming for more of a ‘magazine’ type format, hence the name change to REWOUND.

past tense: rewound; past participle: rewound, as in “he rewound the tape”
I started working on my new ‘magazine’ back in December 2023.
My aim was to complete the nuts and bolts of each month of this particular year, before the end of 2024 – and then edit and fine-tune each ‘edition’ one month at a time throughout 2025.
Each month I’ll cover bits and pieces of what I was up to at the time, or at least what I can remember!! Newsworthy events that were interesting; new films; new books; and the albums released in that month, that stood out for me. Most have found their way into my physical collection, back then, or down the following decades.
